Many of you have visited our lovely moshav over the past years. Zelda has hosted in her home over 6,000 guests over the past 3 years alone, as did many others on our Moshav. Until now the financial Burden was on our shoulders and we carried it with a smile. Since our residents are for the most part low income artists it has been hard for us to continue.
We operate as a guest center, we help in coordinating between those interested in visiting and enhancing their Jewish spirituality and practice through the style of our beloved late great Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach,
and those able and willing to host and guide our guests through a fabulous Shabbos getaway, or weekday event. To that end we have been appointed to build a tent city and a "Shlomo center". In order to do so we most raise funds. To make this possible we are opening our doors to 50+ people every week to spend their Shabbos with us. We offer full room and board, classes, Friday night oneg shabbos, Carlebach minyonim (prayer services), Carlebach havdala and an optional motzei Shabbos concert.
We are asking of all those interested in spreading the spirit and beliefs of our beloved Shlomo, to help. For a modest donation of $180 anually you can become a "Friend of Shlomo", and for those with the means, a donation of $360 anually entitles you to become a "Patron of Shlomo". Being a "friend of Shlomo" entitles you to receive a certificate of recognition, as well as 1 visit a year to our Carlebach village. Being a "Patron of Shlomo" entitles you to a certificate of recognition as well as 2 visits per year to our Carlebach village. In addition "Patrons of Shlomo' will receive a holiday gift, from the Moshav preceding the High holy days. "Friends of Shlomo" are welcome at our Shabbos retreat in excess of their one free visit at the discounted rate of $72 per person for them and their guests. "Patrons of Shlomo" are welcome at our Shabbos retreat in excess of their two free visits at the discounted rate of $54 per person for them and their guests.
Those wishing to spend a lovely spiritual Shabbos with us either alone or with a group can do so for a modest $99 per person (group rates available upon request).
Shabbos or Holiday individuals of groups stay with us for the Shabbos or the Holiday and receive:
A Carlebach style experience including meals, prayer services, havdalah, tour of the land, an intriguing list of classes, activities and exciting experiences. (optional concert available upon request).
